Growing up in Cardiff, Pembrokeshire had a profound influence on me in many ways and was a place where I could escape the stresses that city life can often bring.

I decided that this was the place I wanted to be. Everywhere was full of inspiration, a landscape to die for, an artists dream!. It's stunning, rugged coast and a land shaped by man and the often harsh elements into a unique and special place.

On the subject of the elements, weather has always been a passion of mine, especially the more extreme variety and Pembrokeshire didn't let me down, with powerful Atlantic storms pounding the coast to spectacular effect. In complete contrast, during more sedate episodes in the weather, there are often the most vivid and stunning sunsets.

All these things and more I want to capture in my paintings and just like its land, weather and people which are in a constant state of flux. I find I need to interpret what I see in a variety of styles and media, not to be tied down, but to go with the flow whatever and whenever the mood takes me.
